Small Groups...
|
Through
small groups we provide a place of family where everyone at the Vineyard can
belong and genuinely share life together. It is in this context of family
that we experience the intimacy, ministry and accountability which are essential
to growing in Christian character and service. Although all of our small groups
have common characteristics, they can be distinguished by a variety of major
emphasis.
Traditional Small Groups
The major focus is strengthening relationships and ministering
to the Lord and each other. Worship, sharing and prayer are emphasized. Bible
study is more devotionally oriented.
Bible Study Small Groups
More time and emphasis isplaced on studying the Bible with
less time devoted to worship, sharing and prayer.
Mission Small Groups
Although prayer, sharing and study are essential, the emphasis
in this group is service to others beyond the group through support, evangelism,
prayer or mercy assistance.
Support Small Groups
While similar to traditional small groups, the focus is
often on providing emotional, physical and relational support such as singles,
men, women, recovery and parent groups.
